Lessons here run from $5 to $6 an hour, most of them around $5. 12 of the 21 have passed the WeaTeach assessment (2 master, 1 gold, 7 silver, 2 bronze), which is also what caps the price they may charge. Between them they name Conversation, IELTS, Business English and Grammar among their specialties.

Why are these lessons so much cheaper than the rest?
Because a tutor's price is capped by the level they proved in the WeaTeach assessment, and this page shows the ones at the start of that ladder — often new to this site rather than new to teaching. They are teaching at the price the cap allows, not at a discount they will withdraw.
Is a $5 lesson a real 50 minutes with a real teacher?
Yes: one-to-one, live, the full lesson, with the same assessment, the same held payment and the same reviews as any other tutor here. The price is the only thing that is small.
