How many lessons before an IELTS test?
Most students book eight to twelve lessons over six weeks: enough to learn the format, write several marked essays and rehearse the speaking test more than once. If your test is next week, spend the time on speaking and writing task 2.
Can a tutor mark my IELTS writing?
Yes. Send the essay before the lesson and the tutor marks it against the band descriptors, then spends the lesson on the two or three things holding your band down rather than on every mistake.
