English tutors who speak Turkish
Every tutor here teaches English and speaks Turkish as well, so when an explanation will not land in English there is a way through it rather than a shrug. That matters most at the beginning; by the time you are arguing in English it matters very little, and you should choose on the teaching.
Lessons here run from $5 to $25 an hour, most of them around $17. 6 of the 7 have passed the WeaTeach assessment (1 gold, 5 silver), which is also what caps the price they may charge. Between them they name Business English, IELTS, TOEFL and Conversation among their specialties.
Preguntas frecuentes
Will the lesson be taught in Turkish or in English?
In English, mostly — that is what you are here to practise. What Turkish buys you is the ten seconds where a word will not come or a rule makes no sense: the tutor explains it in your own language and the lesson carries on instead of stalling.
Is a tutor who speaks Turkish worth choosing over one who does not?
Below about B1 it usually is, because the alternative is guessing. Once you can follow an explanation in English it matters much less, and you should pick on teaching rather than on the shared language.
¿Qué pasa si una clase no se lleva a cabo?
Tu pago queda retenido, no se cobra. Confirmas la clase después de realizarla, y si algo sale mal lo reportas y el dinero permanece retenido hasta que se resuelva.
¿En qué idiomas funciona el sitio?
WeaTeach is fully translated into English, Chino, Coreano, Japonés, Turco, Alemán, Francés, Italiano, Portugués, Polish, Español, Swedish, Hindi, Thai and Vietnamese, including what tutors write on their own profiles.
¿Cuánto cuesta un tutor online en WeaTeach?
