“Language is not a product, but a process.”

Diane Larsen-Freeman American linguist

I am an English teacher with over 3 years of experience delivering online and in-person English lessons to learners of different ages and backgrounds.

My professional journey began by participating in a CELTA simulation course, where I successfully achieved a Pass A. Later, I entered university with a rank of 112 in the National Entrance Examination in 2023, and I am currently senior student of Applied Linguistics (TEFL). I am also minoring in Philosophy of Science.

Before entering university, I was already actively involved in English language teaching, and I chose this field with genuine passion and purpose. I believe that every language is a complex, interconnected system that cannot be reduced to isolated components. Therefore, in my teaching, I strive to develop learners’ language skills through meaningful and authentic contexts, helping them experience and use the language as a living tool for communication rather than simply memorizing it.

Every program is fully personalized — designed around your goals, schedule, and learning preferences.

What students learn

  • Level 1: The Alphabet
  • Can recognize all 26 uppercase and lowercase letters and match them correctly.
  • Can produce the short sounds of all 26 consonants and vowels (/a/, /b/, /k/...).
  • Can identify the initial sound in a spoken word (e.g., hears "dog" and knows it starts with /d/).
  • Can trace and write all letters with correct stroke order and proper formation.
  • The child now has phonemic awareness basics. They understand that letters are not just names but symbols for sounds. This is the foundation for all future reading.
  • Level 2: Short Vowels
  • Can blend three individual sounds into a word (e.g., /c/ /a/ /t/ → "cat").
  • Can segment a CVC word into its individual sounds (e.g., hears "dog" and says /d/ /o/ /g/).
  • Can read over 100 simple short-vowel words fluently.
  • Can spell (write) simple 3-letter words when dictated.
  • The child achieves their first major reading breakthrough. They are no longer guessing based on pictures—they are actually decoding. They can now read simple decodable storybooks independently.
  • Level 3: Long Vowels
  • Can distinguish between short and long vowel sounds in minimal pairs (e.g., "not" vs. "note").
  • Understands the "magic e" rule (cap → cape; hop → hope).
  • Can read and write words with common vowel digraphs (e.g., rain, seed, boat, play).
  • Begins to read multi-syllable words (e.g., table, paper).
  • The child can now access early-reader chapter books because they have the tools to tackle the most common vowel patterns in English.
  • Level 4: Consonant Blends
  • Can blend consonant clusters smoothly without inserting an extra vowel sound (e.g., says "stop" correctly, not "suh-top").
  • Can differentiate between voiced and unvoiced /th/ sounds (e.g., "this" vs. "thin").
  • Can read words with initial and final blends and digraphs (e.g., brain, fish, much, sprint).
  • Can decode longer words with multiple blends and digraphs (e.g., branch, scratch, bench).
  • Reading becomes smooth and automatic. Reading speed increases, and working memory is freed up to shift focus from "sounding out" to comprehension.
  • Level 5: Letter Combinations
  • Can correctly pronounce r-controlled vowels (car, bird, fern, fork, turn) and diphthongs (coin, boy, cloud).
  • Can decode multi-syllabic words with schwa sounds (e.g., butter, father, doctor).
  • Can identify and use alternative spellings for the same sound (e.g., boy vs. coin both have the /oi/ sound).
  • Can read and spell 90% of the most common English phonetic words.
  • The child has mastered nearly all the phonics rules of English. They can independently decode 95% of words in grade-level texts and are ready to transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn."
