I became an English teacher because of my love for Hip-Hop culture and the fact that none of my own teachers were literate enough to tell me about the slangs, details, and flexibility of English language. Meaning, they did not have the tools to tell me the tale of telecommunications.
So I built myself around using language like a pro even without living in an English Speaking country. We talk from the very first session. I listen first, learn what English really means in your life — a band score, a promotion, a conversation you’ve been avoiding — and design a roadmap around exactly that. No two students get the same plan.
Today I teach online to students all over the world, and in person at my conversation workshops in Istanbul cafés. The setting changes; the goal never does — to help you feel comfortable in your skin, in English.
